The Late Surrender and Other Features
Like we already mentioned, Blackjack Surrender is played by the standard Las Vegas strip rules with six decks of cards. There’s a multi-hand feature that allows you to play with up to five hands simultaneously. Players are dealt two cards face-up and the dealer – one. The dealer will stand on soft 17 and can peek for Blackjack if their face-up card is an Ace or a 10-value card. In case there is a Blackjack, the round ends automatically and all players lose their bets
- Dealer stands on all 17 hands.
- Dealer will peek for blackjack.
- Players can surrender after a peek.
- Players can split and double.
- Players can’t re-split a split hand.
In this version of Blackjack, players have the option to surrender when the dealer peeks for Blackjack. This is the so-called “late” surrender. When you opt for it, you get half your bet back and forfeit the other half. The early surrender option makes a bigger difference to the house edge, as it lets you surrender before the dealer has peeked for Blackjack. However, very few games feature this option.
Try Blackjack Surrender at Playtech Casinos
Like all other Playtech games, Blackjack Surrender is designed to offer a superb playing experience with an intuitive design and brilliant graphics. You can customise its appearance thanks to the options to change the colour of the table, adjust the sound, and turn off notifications. We wouldn’t recommend you do that because they can save you losses when you accidentally select the wrong option. These pop-ups will stop your game to ask you if you’re standing on a five to eight, or if you want to hit or double on a 20. So, keep them on to prevent some accidental losses.
Blackjack Surrender is a straightforward game without side bets that follows the general rules of Blackjack and is easy to be understood and played by both new players and seasoned gamblers. You can play it with a basic strategy or design a new one that you think would be more lucrative. With different bet values ranging from £1 to £300, it definitely is a game everyone can enjoy. You’ll find it at any casino that features Playtech games, like Ladbrokes.
